In the spirit of Dan learning to roll a whitewater kayak, I figured it would be fun to post some Old pictures of me learning too. This was at my Grandmas pool in Eagle Point Oregon when I was 13 years old. My Uncle John was my faithful teacher who got me truly into the sport of whitewater kayaking. With his help I got my roll in a few hours and headed to the river that same day to paddle at a Class 3 play spot. Thankfully it had lots of deep flat water after the rapid so I didn't have to bad of an experience. Although I did swim one or two times! Enjoy the old Photos!

Here is another old photo of Max Holden, Ryan Hackbarth, and myself paddling down a Class 3 rapid on the last day of our Wild and Scenic Rogue River trip. We acutely did really well through the rapid this way, but I Made us swim at the bottom for fun!

I remember that fateful day. Things were never the same after that.
